I remember Halo Reach had some grunts in an out of bounds area. I loved breaking the camera out of bounds in theater mode, there was always some way to slip out of the boundaries no matter where you were and take bird's eye pictures of campaign and multiplayer maps.
Exploring out of bounds as a whole is fun as fuck.

You can also jump outside the map in NV and walk over to the other side of that chainlink fence at the mojave outpost. Apparently you can use that OOB area to jump to the final fight in the camp.

There's a particular wall in Jak 2 that you can reliably no clip through and go out of bounds in a hover car. It also wasn't patched in the rerelease. If you want to check it out its in the crack in the wall to the left of the gate heading towards the colosseum

How the fuck did gta4 handle travelling outside of the city? I know if you fell below the map it would teleport you back up, but when you went our across the water it seemed like you could go literally forever, and turning back seemed like it took the same amount of time.

Out of bounds shit has always fascinated me, I'm always dissapointed when I manage to break through a level barrier and fall through the floor or reset back into the play area. Sometimes I think about making a game so I can include shit like this, to reward people who persevere into breaking free of the level boundaries or like to poke around with noclip
