All jokes aside, the PS3 had one of the best libraries of last gen. If you've missed out on video games for the past 9 or 10 years, the PS3 has a lot of games and HD collections worth picking up.
If you can, see if you can get your hands on a used Wii as well. Very cheap, easily hackable, has some decent exclusives, and it can emulate old consoles pretty well.

Get the MGS HD Collection. Peach Walker on PS3 is very much worth it. The Jak and Daxter HD collection is also worth picking up. Also see if you can find Ico/Shadow of the Colossus.
Demon's Souls is good. So is Ni no Kuni.

A few months ago, there were only a meh amount of rooms all custom. The official Sony servers are gone. I still play with my friends and family because we have been playing since it was officially released. My cousin introduced me to it because he had the beta back 9 years ago. It will be a sad day when they officially shut down the servers, we will have to do lan from then on until the ps3's die.

you mean the Legacy Collection. Comes witha voucher for MGS1 and MGS4 as a separate disc. From there you can buy MGSV on PC if you have a computer from the last 8 years.
also, try to stick to games that are already HD remasters, or are otherwise pretty niche. Lots of the big stuff has already been ported to PS4, and it's going to keep happening to all of the games worth a damn.
