In my circle, people thought that Strikers didn't fit well with KOF at all. Not sure how but I guess if you came from 94-98 having a 4th member be simply an assist didn't gel well. That and some of them were rather broken (IIRC people mention Joe/Ryo in 2000, and the shenanigans with Triple Strikers in 2001)
