Going to watch everything except KI and maybe T7FR. I don't know jack shit about 3D fighters, and it's very hard to follow without a basic understanding of it. KI is just really dull to me, and I never understood the praise for it whatsoever.
Was hoping to get to skip UMvC3 and MKX, but both are on Sunday, and it's always worth making sure to watch everything during the final day. Missing moments isn't really something that I think anyone should do. Though I really don't like UMvC3, it plays like a chaotic mess. Might miss Pokken because of other things, but I have friends who follow it so they'll probably end up making me watch it anyway.
Other than the main lineup, I'll be watching some of the AnimEVO side streams. Definitely going to watch UNIEL Top 8 and BBCPE. On Jyosua's channel they're going to be streaming BBCF casuals throughout the week as well, since it seems like they brought demo stations. Going to tune into that between different things throughout the weekend.
Also going to try and watch AH3LM, since I do want to get into that game sometime soon. Got it when it was released on Steam, and the designs and gameplay really interest me. Don't play alot of Melty, but might check that out too if I feel like it.

SSF4Ultra was like 40 bucks on release and massively increased the cast and stages. Comparing this to something like the new GG which only adds a few new characters, I dont see how you fault Capcom for all your fighting game troubles.

I really like KI. You can like or dislike whatever you want, but I want to try and put into words why I like the game in the hopes you'll give it a chance. In my opinion, KI is kind of a melting pot of a lot of different fighters. It has the controls of SF, a visual style similar to MK, a combo system that can lead to some crazy combo strings like MvC, and a largely non-human cast like Darkstalkers. It also has one of the most hype announcers and kick ass soundtracks in recent memory. Not to mention the tutorial, which is one of the best I have ever seen, and it gets massive props for sound design so good that blind people can actually play the game well. I like KI because it merges many different aspects of many games and nails the execution to the fucking wall. It sucks that it's an XBone/Win10 exclusive, but don't let anyone tell you it's a bad game.

KI's combo system uses both cancels (auto doubles) and links and it's vital in throwing off your opponent's breaker timing.

Yeah unless you intentionally gimped the framerate of your animations (Xrd, any anime game really) it would still look janky as fuck.
Not saying it doesn't look kinda wonky but there is a reason for it and it's rooted in the gameplay.
And really the game works a lot with it's sound design to try and mitigate this effect, it does take some getting used to but it's not arbitrary design decisions.

No it's not.
It just has animations cancel into each other and has larger hit stop.
You'll notice the combos look janky (especially in that webm) because Arbiter is using auto doubles a lot, he doesn't have many manuals in his arsenal so his combos are based on cancelling from normals into specials back into normals. Combos like Gargos' st.hp combos look a lot smoother because he can use his specials to make tons of advantage and hit real links.
Inbetweens wouldn't change shit because breakers need to be hit during hit stop. Funny that you bring this up considering that this is the exact same thing anime games do only they have less inbetween frames and less hitstop.
