Joel's Vinesauce origin story is literally seeing Vinny advertising on /v/ and wanting to join because he was a fan of the stream. He doesn't really hide the fact that he's from here. Vinny has tried to distance himself from it, though, which is really obvious if you watch that recent VineClassics upload of Animal Crossing with a /v/ post in the thumbnail. That video is from 2013 and even there he tiptoes around where he got it from, and if you read the comments his newer fans are freaking out because he's on the evil 4chains.
