Bethesda stealing Autumn Leaves has reminded me this mod exists. I've heard of it being like a hardcore NV, with an edgy storyline about how everything is dead and aggressive.
Is the mod worth while? I was discouraged due to everything being essentially dead, and hearing that the game is not very fair.

Honestly the setting is ok, but the 'difficulty' is fucking stupid. I can live with shit condition weapons and more risky encounters, but having tunnelers instantly detect you from across the map the millisecond you exit the starting shelter is fucking bullshit and not so much 'difficult' as much as it is 'masochistic.'
That said, I can at least respect the dev somewhat for standing by his design decisions.

Dust and Obscurum pandemic are two of the worst yet hyped into oblivion overhauls for NV. Dust is lore friend but takes bullet sponges and make them pretend that's a difficulty spike. I've tried to get into Dust and do so about and hour before I uninstall it/ Just too boring

but the difficulty is just impossible to play without cheats, rebalances, mods or quicksave/loading every 5 seconds
