Figma doesn't only do anime stuff so they're good for some weird shit. They recently did the thinker and a bunch of other weird statue figures that are cool.
Revoltech is more likely to have videogame characters and a lot of them are good.

Both Robot Damashii and most model kits are very posable.
Models are cheap and fun to put together, Bandai kits are very friendly to new builders. RD are great if you want a perfect little pre-painted figure with accessories, but it will cost more.
