With most of the devs off from Fallout New Vegas as well as Chris himself on board, I can't really say much other than I'll be extremely disappointed if this game lets me down.
The pre-alpha demo played about as amazingly as it looked, though. Seeing the Citadel in some glorious ass graphics was an immense good feel, and everything just felt structurally sound, with the grid inventory system, and everything in-between.
Excited is kind of an understatement, I suppose. It's just one of those games that I really look forward to playing eventually, and those kind of games are really fucking rare at this point of time.

She was basically just programmed by a guy named Morris Brocail or something like that as a program utilizing her data amidst smidgens of code that translated to a personality. The Hacker (main protag of System Shock 1) was hired by Edward Diego, who was a corporate son of a bitch and entirely kind of a faggot who teleports away from you all the time and can only be really beaten by PSI shields up the ass and trip mines fucking everywhere, to basically remove those logical constraints and "personality." Since those were vital to her decision making process, she entered a loophole of basically making independent decisions, which ultimately made her go into the routine of, "become god and kill fucking everything."
There's not really much to explain, to be honest, since yeah, it was explained in the original. I guess for the rewards, it would just be like, "oh hey, this is why Edward Diego was such a fucking cunt," or, "Oh man, surprise surprise, it was Brocoil's plan the whole time, just executed in the wrong fashion, have this System Shock 3 sequel hook."
Or, it could just be a generalization for idiots that don't know how to read in-between the lines during the game. Whatever the case, it is just as silly as you make out to be, much the same as the other rewards.

Doing a remake must seem a pretty safe option: it's something they mostly just have to clean up the visuals on while duplicating as much design as they want (in the name of being faithful to the original), plus existing fans already throwing money at them.
