So the Wii U is basically 3 consoles in one for me.
Plus other emulators.

but that's a pretty rare thing, most just get added in my backlog/notes of "stuff to play eventually" (in case of Wii U stuff, likely on emulator in a few years.. even then not sure if I'll get to it)
I just have too many things to play as-is, not exactly starved for games.

It depends on how important each game is to me. If a game is really that cool looking to me I'll pick up the console just for it, if it has only like 10 somewhat interesting games I'll go for it.

Wii U barely has anything groundbreaking or original. I don't understand this "WII U IS AMAZING" meme.

but to be honest, before MGS 5 came out i would have bought a console just for that, knowing i would then also end up buying less great titles for that system, but MGS 5 sure would have been a system seller, just like death stranding might end up being.
