You're not wrong. It lacks depth, requires you to live near a (relatively) large city to even have a pokestop, and it seems to me the only people playing it are not traditionally gaming inclined. This might be my own assumption leading me wrong, but it seems to me people who were around for gen 1 or 2 are the ones who would be most inclined toward levels of nostalgia the game requires (as is.) But instead everybody and their mother is invested in it.
What I want to know is; Why the hell has it been 7-8 years since the Gold/Silver remakes with the pokewalker, yet we're just now getting this real world functionality.
