I played a bit of Tri as my introduction to MH and Freedom Unite on PPSSPP. Never had the pleasure of hunting with other players. I've contemplated getting a 3DS, but there's nothing else I'd want to play on it so I never did.

How did I not keep up with this. My hype is overwhelming.
Few quick questions for people who may have been keeping a closer eye on development: Can you change touchscreen panels like in MH4U? Trying to play this game without Circle Pad Pro or my touchscreen camera controls is cancer. And how is the female armour this gen? I've played male since I started inTriand have liked their sets, but I have been thinking of trying a grill. I don't object to bikini armour, but I would prefer something a little more creative.

Yes, the virtual dpad is there in the full game. I don't know why they removed that for the demo and didn't even give the option to change it for people who only use one hunter art.

I only have MH Tri but I got it for $3.. I spent more in S&H. The core game even without online is really fun and the graphics are top notch for the Wii. Can play with classic controller to avoid motion gimmicks.. prob the best $3 I've ever spent.
I quite enjoy learning the monsters movements and timing my attacks. The fact that you can see the monster wear down until it is eventually reduced to limping away is super fulfilling in an already immersive world.. minus the loading screens but meh. I wish I had the current MH game out right now.

Yes. It's an impact weapon, meaning you should be aiming for the head all the time and then running out.

You can, if that's what you want.
I use it as aggressively as I can, always hitting the monster's face to KO. The only real songs you absolutely need is the normal 2 hit song to increase your speed and its encore which gives you Mind's Eye.
Other songs are nice, but if you want to use them, just replay the songs every now and again to keep the buffs up.
Don't, I repeat, do not, ever limit yourself to just being a buffslut. Your horn is a great weapon, fucking use it.
