Not OP but I thought the anachronistic songs being remade in the old timey style was neat, like the shit they did with Tainted Love and Everybody Wants to Rule the World.

L.A. Noire got the atmosphere right and the attention to detail in creating the useless open world is insane and sometimes ridiculously accurate to real life L.A.
Really neat version of the ATB battle system and job switching on the fly.
