When was the last time that a brand new videogame truly amazed you with something you hadn't seen before?
To me it happened recently with resident evil 6, at first I firmly scorned the game, but then I realized how fun the melee system is and how cool the diving mechanics are, it's like the videogame version of the CGI films produced by capcom, it's really cool.
Last month, playing Talos Principle.
Just about all about the game was amazing; from the plot and some game mechanisms, to the visuals and gigantic options menus.
Factorio's capability to please my hidden autism. I didn't even know I enjoyed optimizing things and make them scalable so much.

Witcher 3. After playing gta 4 and skyrim and being not dissapointed, just disatisfied with how truly amazing open world games have the potential to be, and then in reality they're so shallow and usually several things in terms of quality have to decrease to allow a large world. Witcher 3 solely redeemed the genre for me.

The old Resi games didn't have Japanese VAs because the devs wanted it to be authentically American. The newer games had Japanese actors and retarded locales because authenticity of setting was no longer a concern.
