Gothic 1 and 2 were amazing games for their time Piranha Bytes never evolved past them.
Gothic 3 was 2 steps in the right direction and 30 steps back. The type of open world game they made was a good idea but the execution was bad.
Then they went back to the weird European action RPGs they made in 2001. They're just spinning their wheels.
CDPR managed to think big, they reinvented their series 3 times. All of the Witcher games are different. They changed a lot of stuff but they never sold their souls despite what people have been saying about them.
And they sold 6 millions copies in six weeks of the third installment of their weird obscure European RPG.
