I think the pokemon video games are shit. They're extremely easy, and I see no reason to play them unless you just love a no-difficulty comfy grind. There's a ton of content, but the game is shit on its own.
Pokemon Go solves the problem by placing the wealth of content into a game structure that requires people to explore the world around them.

Is it just me or is there no real reason to challenge a gym until you hit level 20 and have at least 3 or 4 CP 1000+ pokemon?
I've messed around with the gyms, but the rewards seem fairly small, and you're forced to spent healing items even if you win. And there are so many people playing that you'll never hold a gym long enough to get the defender bonus. I don't see a good reason to bother with it unless you just have a hardon for gym battling.

I always felt they ramped up micromanagement to a degree that removed fun. All the really old guys I work with were talking about it today. They're the type that call it "pokey-man". I've played all the games multiple times since gen 1 and have a living dex in OR, and I hate having to talk about this shitty game. Humans are omni-vores for a reason. I don't understand why people can't understand this. I can't say I support some of the impractical practices a lot of these animal farms use (specifically when dealing with cows) but the thought process of veganism and animal rights in general is ridiculous to me. Most of these animals would be extinct if not for domestication or the need for their byproducts. Look at wild horses for example, a breed that is literally killing itself with it's eating habits in North America.
The fact of the matter is that veganism and empathy to that extent for animals is a luxury of the wealthy who can sit back and feel good about decisions with no real gravity while they enjoy the products of people getting paid 5 cents an hour.
