Yeah. Pokemon are generally closer to poke spots. The purple shit is because a player has used a Lure item, which makes Pokemon spam very frequently. I just booted it up to see if servers were up, saw this, and headed down the street. Litterally endless poke mans, every time I caught one, a new has spawned.
Mostly Zubats, Weedles and Pidgeys though, so that was a bummer. But still. I'm lucky to live in a very old city, which tons of historical landmarks right next to my flat.
