no, they replaced the renderer with the one from FO4. This will fundamentally change the lighting etc, and will allow for much more to be done with mods, the game will look and run much better.

Are you failing to grasp the fact that this isn't purely an aesthetic update, and also an engine update that will remove a lot of hard-coded limitations that Skyrim had? This doesn't stop you from modding Skyrim remaster, but it improves the core structure which allows for better stability, optimization, and allows mods to do more than they could prior.

...You don't have to buy it. Anyone who already has Skyrim and all the DLC gets it for free. It's literally a free upgrade from a 32 bit Skyrim to a 64 bit that you'll have to mod a tiny bit less visually, and gain better stability and optimization from.
There's literally no downside to it.

Well Since I already get 120 fps on Skyrim on max, completely modded and I don't create mods, but I use them, and pretty much never crash, I still don't see the benefit, especially since it will probably make a bunch of my mods incompatible thus killing my desire to play. Even if it doesn't fuck my compatibility, I still don't see the benefit.

It looks unbelievable. When I heard that Bethesda are doing a remaster of Skyrim, I thought it was just few HD textures put here and there.
I have never been so wrong, they're actually remaking this gem from scratch. New Skyrim looks, AND plays totally different.
I am sold. It will feel like a totally new game.

i got bored so fast with the vanilla, but after putting a thousand mods it got fairly interesting, but I was very sad about how shit the monsters were(and few), and how I one shot everything as an archer.
