They can exist, but they won't. Why would Nintendo waste millions of dollars developing a quality Star Fox game for the PS4 when they can just churn out another Mario game? The Mario game is guaranteed profit, there's little risk involved. It's a significantly less risky venture when they're developing that Star Fox game for their own hardware because, even if the game is a failure, they can eat that failure because they have their hits to back them up. If Nintendo went third party they'd be forced to downscale, as a result of not having profits coming in from their consoles. Therefore this model wouldn't work without their systems.

It really depends on the console's architecture, developer competence, available hardware, etc.
PSP didn't get a good emulator until PPSSPP due to somebody leaking the PSP design documents to the team, which still doesn't have full compatibility with some games. Before that there was JPCSP which sucked dick so much that most people never even heard of it because no one was willing to spread the word.
Dolphin is still in heavy development and only just got higher compatibility after several years of work, but Wii support only took a little time because it's just two gamecubes put together.
PCSX2 is anything but full fledged, there's a laundry list of games that don't run well on it (Ace Combat and Ape Escape being big ones).
To that end, N64 emulators are all still fucking garbage where Dolphin's Virtual Console support actually runs most of them better.

If 'stylized' means lazy, then yes, I agree it was a low effort endeavour for a mediocre game. Even the dungeons were just sent through an RNG terrain builder. The world map looks especially shit.

The Vita gets plenty of support. I'm literally drowning in Vita games, I'll have 27 once I get my copy of Sora no Kiseki the 3rd Evolution. The Wii U, on the other hand, could use some more games. I only have 6 for it. Xenoblade X on its own makes the system more than worth it though.

They went with the models because Bravely Default is based on the older Final Fantasy games. They all used to look like this you moron. It's deliberate.
And again, the dungeons are like this because that's the way the older Final Fantasies were. Of course there's going to be fucking random battles, that's the way it was back then. Random encounters were a thing in the 3rd and 4th generation.
It was a great game aside from the repetition in the second half. Battles were fun and engaging, the job system was variable and left you a lot of options to approach battles, the game is mechanically and stylistically great, and the soundtrack is great.
