Sonic CD is fucking amazing.
Cool graphics, good music, good sound design, good time travel gimmick, good/bad endings...
Probably the best Sonic game. Wasn't it designed by the same team who made the first Sonic The Hedgehog?

Apart from Wacky Workbench (cool idea, poor execution) and a couple of areas in Metallic Madness I thought the level design was generally decent-good.

Also everything about Stardust Speedway was perfect from the aesthetic to the level design to the music (both US and JP) and I will fight anyone who disagrees with me.

Oh, it was just designed by the Japanese side of Sonic Team.
Makes sense it was better than 2.

Accurate. The time travel gimmick ultimately gets in the way. They should have made more levels instead of "alternate" levels that stop your momentum to shoot you off into a pallet swap.
