Bored and frustrated. Stuck playing a healer 95% of the time and the other 5% is usually a tank. I can selfishly pick whatever i want, but then no one else picks the damn healer or tank and then it ends up being a crushing defeat where no one is having fun. Lucio is fun, but after a solid 20hours on him, i'd like to try some of the other heroes for a bit. If all the planets align and there is a full blood moon then maybe, just maybe, i get to dare dabble in a different hero.
The game for me has boiled down to:
Pick what i want and suffer a painful game
or
Pick what the team needs and play the same two boring healers forever

Playing Lucio or Reinhardt every game gets boring after awhile. I could play someone else but then we'd have no healer or tank.
It's just not fun anymore. More heroes might help, but solo queue is just fucking awful right now. I can't think of anything worse than being matched with premades while playing solo.

The reason people hate Mei isn't her strengths. If you get close to a close range fighter, you should lose most of the time.
But her freeze lasts long enough that Mei can casually wander her mouse to the head and right click, which also has a delay, for a free 140 damage.
Were the thaw quick enough that the best she could do is get a bodyshot for, I dunno, 100 damage, you'd see her hold that M1, draining ammo, going for the sure M2 to conserve her lower ammo, or keeping them frozen if she has a team behind her to take advantage of the massive blue roadhog.
A faster freeze would also help her shut down ults.
Oh, and her wall needs a slightly longer cooldown, or reduced wall health so it can actually be broken by anyone other than bastion or an Ulting Roadhog.

I feel every match is nonstop people autolocking genji and hanzo. I frequently get on attacking teams missing both a tank and support. I'm disproportionately playing lucio just because nobody else can seem to pick support.
Winning isn't even the issue, its just that victories are hollow. We only win because the enemy team is even more braindead than mine. I haven't had a good fun match in a while. They seriously need to filter out all the children through matchmaking. Or maybe have a mode where you pick your role to be locked into and are matchmade based off your role.

Ultimates ruin this game and should be globally removed. Ultimates are the new meme for shooters. Both destiny and call of duty added that shit for welfare kills for fucking console children who feel like they are doing good for getting a few kills for pressing a button. Its the call of duty "press button to call in rockets from space to spawnkill your enemies" shit that is totally unfair. There is nothing you can do to counter certain ults. It is just a blatantly stupid that you could play the game better than your opponent but they pop their ability just before they die and wipe out the area.

that doesn't make them not fundamentally flawed. Some of them are simply unavoidable because of how effective they are. Spawing and immediately running into an ult several times in a row just isn't a fun experience, even though my k/d may even out with my free welfare kills later into the match. Some people simply get unlucky and happen to be the focus of everybody's ult for a match. Their skill wasn't properly tested.
In games like halo, the better weapons were placed around the map from the start in a way that people had a fair chance of getting them, but had to fight for the advantage. These are just lazy design that gives each player a temporary advantage over all the other players. The problem is that it sells well because children feel badass for pressing q and hearing die die die, so it's going to start to show up in more """""competitive""""" shooters like ow

I mostly blame Blizzard's casual fanbase. There are many, many people mistakenly being placed in the 50's and 60's bracket that have no business playing a team-based fps.

As far as multiplayer FPS games go, I think Overwatch has the most unfriendly userbase I've ever encountered. Everyone hates everyone else, especially their own teammates, and every match ends in whining.

Wouldn't really say that I'm bored, just a little burned out since it's literally the only game I have been playing for the past five days. I'm going to take a break from it for a couple of days and return. It's a fun game and I am looking forwards to the new character and skins. I can't think of a game that has been this unbalanced in a long time. Roadhog the 600hp tank that one shots people should have never made it past alpha stages. 20 tick is the meme that never ends and they still refuse to change it. Double picking certain champs just makes strategies a joke, because you'll probably never do better than two winston two lucio two tracer. Competitive mode is hands down just poorly made.
The game has stopped being fun, and after MH comes out, I'll probably be playing it less. My friends keep asking me to play but I think even they're getting bored with it. I got to 67 but I don't see much point to going higher at the moment. The game right now, you should focus on getting good with certain heroes and mechanics, and just play it seriously in the fall.

Well gold medals aren't exactly an indicator of how good you are, it just means you are doing the best on your team in that category.
With that said, I understand what you are going through. I also play console, and many people on here are pretty braindead.
I would advise you to at least get one person to party up, it helps a lot if you get used to each others play styles. If you can't do that, then learn how to play most of the characters, and pick ones that will suit your team comp.
I'm currently ranked at 72 , and my brother is ranked at 75.

Sounds like you were always a 47. They were just pairing you against really bad teams since most people are bad so your rating inflated. Then it started matching you against people your ranking indicated you were skilled at and you lost.
When your at your skill level you should be win/losing about 50% and only looking average on the scoreboard.

Not him, but most of my losses in competetive were completely predictable and preventable.
It mostly comes down to a failure to switch to counter the enemy team, which I can't do since I'm playing healer or tank 90% of the time.
The few times I'm on offense, I play Soldier 76 and it'd make no sense to switch since I'm the only one countering their Phara and able to exert pressure at long range.
Meanwhile, we have a Genji and a Tracer being basically useless, who don't even consider switching.

Calm down, McCree is still really good. He saw a lot of play this week in tournaments.
Bottom line is that his left click is godly, his stun is very useful and his ult is versatile, but he doesn't have the mobility and sustain of 76. That being said his team role is drastically different than 76, and if you're mechanically talented he can put out more damage than 76. Simple as that.
Personally I think 76/McCree is a great DPS lineup.

Have you legit never seen a good D.Va? Underpowered, sure, but she can be brought up to speed if you play her as a mobile back liner / disruption tank. Targeting healers, WMs, Hanzos and just targets of oppertunity. She's NOT a main, she melts too quick because she's gotta be practically still to shoot. But her mobility is her survivability. Her boost is almost always up and her DM absorbs a lot of weird stuff, even Junkrats remote mine. Blizzard need to be care here imo, they could end up making D.Va really broken if they buff the wrong thing on her.
