One of the franchises I am happy I didn't buy into, strongly considered it after me 2. Was holding off for a collectors pack.
Then mass effect 3 came with day 1 dlc on disc, jersey shore characters and a lot of other issues I don't even remember. So it was not just the fucking ending or decisions having really small impacts. Shit was just not well thought out, fans was convinced it all was a brainwash by reapers theory over how bad it was.
People have really listed the problems already, but I want to add a bit to them.
1 The game is supposed to be close to release, yet we have seen fuck all of it. Considering the time they had, it's to getting ever closer to duke nukem levels of bad delay.
2 They have the ugly tendency to fuck up and outright remove aspects of the game people see as flaws or not working optimally on previous games instead of fixing them. Hopefully they got it this time around considering mako, but it's still bioware.
3 Considering DA:I, DA 2 and ME 3, this is going to be interesting to see what they will put in.
Will we get a shallow Garrison/Settlement building aspect? It can probably be done right, but I'm so fucking in doubt they will. DAI apparently had nice looking, but empty zones? Large empty zones like me 1 or me 2 dlc on rails? More or less SJW?
4 You are forced to play human, kinda surprising and disappointing since Milkyway races took a brave sir robin route together. Which means humans are going be special snowflakes again. Didn't really expect better tough.
5 Developers are so hardcore sjw it ain't even funny, just cranked to 12/10 on the cringe meter. Asari shrek is going to be our new elven cunt of DAI. Women is going to save the day for the sake being woman, instead of you know being actually a decent character with flaws and strengths that blend in seamlessly in the world making it believable at the same time.
