Buyer's remorse

Should've gone wireless
>>
>>344659907

If you were planning on using on pc, then no, you should not have gone wireless.
>>
>>344660037
Why? the wire gets in the way, sometimes my chair's wheels eat the wire.
>>
>>344660091

Because you have to buy extra shit to get it to work on pc

Stop being retarded and organize your wires properly. Get a ziptie or twist tie and tie off the extra if you've got too much extra.
>>
>Going wireless on PC
I made this mistake, don't be like me OP just use a wired controller and follow what >>344660270 says.
>>
>>344660270
If I loop the excess wire and put a ziptie on it, it will be dangling on the USB port.
Are you saying that the wireless version doesn't come with the dongle?
>>
>getting a 360 pad instead of an XB1 pad
>playing games with wireless input lag
>being that much of a casual
>>
Why did you buy a 360 pad when there's a xb1 pad?
>>
>all those fucking batteries
>>
>>344660734
Bone pads are expensive as fuck.
>>
Wired all the way.
>>
>>344659907
I'm fine with wire, it is lighter and I don't have to worry with batteries.
>>
I made that mistake and it fortunately fucked up, so I returned it and bought wireless instead. £12 more and completely worth it, I don't give a shit.
>>
>>344660728
>>344660734
I bought it before the XB1 got announced, it's just that I started using it again and the wires are pissing me off.
>>
>>344660728
Does this mean that Steam Controller has bad input lag?
>>
>>344659907
Yea definitely should have gone wireless.

Wired Xbox 360 controllers suck, you don't get to use brand new technology like AA batteries, which with the wireless you get to buy all the time.

You also don't have an option for accessories. The wired controller isn't compatible with the wireless receiver that the wireless controller needs and is a blast to buy and use, and the wire controller doesn't even have a spot to install the charge pack which really ups my headshot game.
>>
>>344659907
>Should've gone wireless

said no PC user ever.
>>
what baby can't handle a few wires

just be smart and save your money from buying batteries or a charger pack

I actually wish I still had my wired controller around. The battery pack is terrible, my fingers can't find a good spot to rest.

Glad I bought a Xbox One controller. I can just plug the usb and play fine.
>>
I had a wired 360 controller for years for my PC. The controller itself is nice but the wire was always giving me headaches. It constantly got tangled up with my other wires and it's so thick and heavy that the wire would pull the controller off my desk if I set it down. Eventually the wire got weak near the neck of the controller, broke apart and frayed so that the controller would disconnect at inopportune times or if you held it in certain positions. Chucked that shit and got a bone controller.
>>
>>344660909
Only if you're a jobless shitstain.
>>
>>344660728
>wireless input lag
It's the current year anon, wireless can handle that ratcrap amount of data just fine.
>>
>>344661681
>frayed so that the controller would disconnect at inopportune times or if you held it in certain positions

This is an intended feature. Friendly reminder it's time to upgrade your controller. Time to spend another $60 goy!
>>
You should buy the Stratus XL from Steelseries. Works on android and PC.
>>
>>344659907
never go wireless
too many problems
>drivers not working
>battery dying
>having to recharge shit
>shitty battery pack
>>
Bought a rockcandy XB1 wired controller and the micro USB port is super loose now. What do?
>>
>>344662485
> battery pack

Prepare to buy a new one yearly since these things can only be charged a handful of times before its completely dead it seems
>>
>>344660492
Not him, correct.
Wireless 360/One controllers have a wireless connector that only links to their respective consoles.
To get it to work on PC requires too much bullshit.
A PS3 controller + charge cable is much better overall, short cord and uniform design.
>>
>>344662659
Realize you bought an inferior rip off and get a name brand controller next time.
> it will last a few extra months max

>>
>>344662794

It was on sale for $20. I couldn't resist!

>>344662787

Yeah, I'll have to buy a real XB1 Controller next time.

It almost lasted me a year though. I bought it last October and it only started giving me problems a few weeks ago.

Just get the Steelseries Stratus XL. Works great on my PC.
>>
>>344660091
Ignore other anons and buy 360 gamepad and wireless controler set, maybe this wasn't case in the past, but they cost like 5$ more and work just fine.
>>
>>344659907
Do not go wireless for your pc controllers ever. It's means having to connect a wireless adapter and/or having to use batteries.

Also it can have delays depending on what else you got around it, like phones(phones will usually be the reason of the delay), wifi router sending 2.4ghz signals, etc. I tried using a wireless controller and a wiimote in uni but they had delays and sometimes lost reception because of how many phones we got around.

Long story short, go wired to avoid problems
>>
>buy xbox one controller for PC because I heard how comfortable they were
>get home and unbox the controller
>notice how it has a mini usb port and no protection around it
>hmmm that doesn't look too good, but whatever
>use it flawlessly for a couple of weeks
>drop it once, FUCKING ONCE
>it lands on the wire usb-connector and bend the entire mini usb port
>put usb cable into the port again
>it's extremely sensitive up to the point where I might as well trash it

Worst fucking buy ever. Who at Micro$hit thought it was a good idea to have a mini usb port on the top of the controller and not any kind of protection around it? Fucking shit, went back and bought a 360 controller again and it honestly feels better in every other way.
>>
>>344660728
Xb1 pad is fucking disgusting and has way worse delay that the 360 one(on DS3 atleast)
>>
>>344660728
The xbone one controller is tiny and the bumpers are shit

Xbox 360 remains being the superior controller and it's cheaper as well

Also the elite fiasco https://youtu.be/6Gzj0f9SrBs
>>
>>344662485
>>344662692
I found it's much more feasible to use batteries instead. A pair of duracells last months.
>>
I really like the DS' fit on my hand, it's just that I don't want to bother with thirdparty drivers for it so I chose the 360's.

I hate my fucking 360, bought the halo 4 edition when it came out, was fun for a while to play halo but there is nothing good for it that is exclusive. I know there are shmups, but aren't they crazy expensive? whatever the series of them are called, not death smiles. Blue dragon and tales of vesparia I don't want. I have a wii U and PS3 so there isn't anything really definitive on it. Buying a dreamcast soon so I can get shenmue 2 at least after playing the first one. If anyone plays halo 3 online still maybe i'll get odst and 3 months of live or something.

Everyone told me not too and I did anyway.

Kill me.
>>
>>344665237
get loadline, and then do whatever the exploit is for wii mode. There you go, now you can play every wii u, wii, and gamecube game (along with a lot of virtual console shit)
>>
>get a xbone controller
>plug into pc with usb cable

The power of Microsoft.
>>
I'm going to have to replace my controller soon

What is the best controller in regards to Joysticks?

I mean, the Xbone and DS4 deadzones are so fucking huge that the joysticks turn into on/off shit like a dpad.

Is there anything out there that doesn't suck cock?
>>
>>344665062
You arguably bought the console that runs the best out of that gen.
I can't tell you anything else though. You have a PS3, so you already had access to all the cool multiplat games.

I guess you could play Dead Rising and Ridge Racer 6.
