Zelda doesn't exactly have a consistent history of open world entries, especially not in recent years. The open world genre has become somewhat stale and stagnated with so many entries in the ultra short term.
This one looks to be taking some of the best features from recent entries in the genre and fusing them with core Zelda concepts.
So, yeah, we're excited.
It's about frequency.
Also I kind of think Horizon looks nice, but I worry about its openness and how limiting it might be from the demo at E3. It's definitely cool in concept though.
