I might as well post some more screenshots I took of PD. Check this one out from the comfy indoor room section. Notice that the 'King' of the playing cards on the ground looks like King Regis himself. Has such level of detail ever before witnessed in an open world Action RPG other than TW3?
I don't think the game has really convinced enough people it will be GOAT. Everything IMO seems to be overhyped about the game. I dunno if it is the movie coming out along with the game or if the expectations Sqaure themselves are setting and sharing with the public isn't exactly realistic.
At this point since there is no evidence thus far, I'll just be a skeptic and watch from the sidelines We might get a good shitshow either way.

I was a bit worried about FF XV's art direction, because when the first areas were presented there was a lot of basing stuff directly on real life locations, even copy-pasting buildings (Venice, Tokyo's Shinjuku, Havana...) but they've been showing more unique stuff recently that screams classic FF, a lot of baroque and gothic stuff.

On the day the treaty is signed, Kingsglaive member Crowe is sent on a mission beyond Lucis and is killed by an unknown assassin. Her death enrages Libertus and he leaves the Kingsglaive and joins a group of Lucian dissidents. At a party dedicated to the signing of the peace treaty, attended by both Regis and Iedolas Aldercapt, Lunafreya meets and forms a connection with Nyx, before being kidnapped in secret by Glauca.

Lunafreya tries to bring Regis with them, but he forces them to leave him behind. Staying behind, he struggles to defeat Glauca, holding him off with lightning magic before eventually being killed. At the same time, Iedolas and Ardyn successfully steal the Crystal from the royal palace, fleeing the besieged city with it in their care.

So surprising as it may sound, the true mastermind behind the invasion was Iedolas/Ardyn who used everyone as pawns. The reason for the Peace Treaty having Lucis abandon the lands of Lucis with the exception of Insomnia was to stir instability within the Kingsglaive. It is clear in the movie there were many traitors, but were they traitors to start with? No. Many of the members of KG are immigrants and mostly are from Gallahd which seems to be a province within Lucis. When the Kings agreed to abandon the lands completely, this meant that Regis was also abandoning the hometowns of the KG members, which infuriated them. This allowed them to be more susceptible to persuasion, where the Empire promised them a new life for their treason. This also made Drautos to finally tick off. Iedolas/Ardyn also knew about Glauca and Ravus, who was also working alone. Within the Capital City, there was also a resistance group of immigrants who was also promised haven by the Empire. They aided in opening the gate to the Crown tower.
Ravus was working alone to gain the power of the ring, but was not on terms with Glauca, who was also working alone to kill Regis. Knowing this Iedolas/Ardyn used them to distract Regis, then to steal the crystal among the chaos. Having Luna in the airship was also a plan to distract the Kingsglaive who went to save her, only to have them kill each other in betrayal. Leaving Insomnia open for the taking.

The royal guard isn't the Kingsglaive. From what I've read it seems like at the start of the movie the Kingsglaive is a much larger elite force that can wield Regis's magic but a lot of them are killed in the battle at the beginning of the movie and because of this the remaining members are then grounded in Insomnia to regroup/because they've lost too much land to Niflheim.
Cor is the royal guard but Regis probably sent him to look after Noctis because he knew everything would go to shit in the city anyway and Noctis is predestined as the saviour of the world or some shit, plus he's a close friend of Regis's so he would try to keep him from dying unnecessarily like Gladio's dad does.

Pretty much all he does is attack and when the enemy attacks hold the dodge button and do the jump attack two times. It's pretty simple, whcih isnt a bad thing. Super complicated 1000 input combat systems aren't automaticly great

You can't - some attack aren't dodge-cancellable, so if you decide to attack, you have to commit to most of the actions and holding the dodge button along with attacking won't do anything - you have to press it manually again and hope that it will be a perfect dodge to ensure mp isn't wasted.

The dodge windows are pretty big. I think it's fine the way it is. It's similar to KH where battles or bossfights are rather short, but you have to actually do things. The bigget problems are usually AOE attacks
