According to a recent interview, Humans and Namekians will also have "transformations" just as powerful as the other 3 races' awaken transformations (SSJ3, Golden, Pure), but they don't alter the CAC's appearance, just auras and stats. There goes Red-Eye and Max Power...
Also, there's 3 times as much CAC options, and you can import what you've got from the first game.
Last but not least, once you finish the game's story mode, the game will let your CAC alter history themselves... somehow.

Xenoverse 1 had a handful of them. They took place in post-game DLC and featured Nappa becoming the leader of the Ginyu squad and SSJ Bardock and Broly being displaced in time so that they had to fight each other.
I think one of the scenarios revealed in a Japanese magazine article for Xenoverse 2 was the possibility of going back in time and joining Frieza's army and crushing the Z fighter's resistance. That's not a bad scenario on its own but it doesn't sound more indepth than a parallel quest.

There are probably going to be 3 Xenoverse games. Xenoverse 2 will be remembered as the game that fixed Xenoverse 1's gameplay while also taking two steps back on some things. Xenoverse 3 will be the game that perfects the formula. This exact same thing happened with the original Budokai, and then happened again with Budokai Tenkaichi.
And people will then look back fondly on Xenoverse 1 as the one off title that let you spam ultimates as a super saiyan, something which is confirmed to be done away with in 2.
People are going to replay Xenoverse 1 just for how broken it'll be in comparison. It's still fun to play it just won't be taken seriously.

According to the interview when you import your CaC you'll have access to most of your skills but not all. High level stuff like Potential Unleashed will probably have to be reunlocked via quest. You also are given more money at the start so that you can earn moves and clothes you had before faster.
It was probably done this way so that people aren't Day 1 level 99 with Super Saiyan 3 unlocked.

right now there are a bunh of strike events they are easier and soon we will get super strike events
for example

>beat him with your goku

the thing doesn't end here
>beat him again until you have 15 of him
>use 9 of them to train another one and max his super attack
>when that one is maxed combine the rest to have another king cold with super attack level 5
>soon we will get the super strike
>it will give you king cold medals
>the medals dokkan him into an ssr that awakens into UR and can have a max super attack level of 15
so you combine all of them and get a great UR king cold with a maxed super attack
the same can be done with every strike event card right now
so it's gonna be a grindfest but it's free

To explain that further, the 12 universes are divided into 6 pairs. Each pair adds up tot he number 12 (U1 and U12, U2 and U11, and so on). Each pair is a parallel universe with a lot of similarities, but, for example, universe 1 and universe 5 are nothing alike since they're not pairs.
The main Dragon Ball universe is universe 7. Universe 6 is similar but not exact; the Saiyans are a race of heroes who live on their original world instead of conquering Planet Plant, and Earth was destroyed in a great civil war by the humans.

A lot of the early Saiyan Lore was pretty interesting.
I kind of got the impression that Saiyans weren't just buff race mclasers, but instead had a psychic potential and they quickly adapted to dangers around them, or at least produced a Saiyan to quickly adapt.
i.e. Around Tuffles the Saiyans became stronger and smarter and learned how to use their tech.
When Frieza arrived Broly & Goku were born.
I was also under the impression, mostly from Dragon Ball, that aside from normal ki, that spiritual(good and evil) ki was something around, and that Goku actually had a mostly spiritual ki.
I also don't hate Power Levels, the power creep is obnoxious but as a tool it seemed alright.

I think we're gonna get potential unlocked again for humans and giant namek for namekians. I saw a video with a couple guys analyzing the transformation and they noticed how the golden freezer was faster than in his regular form, so they extrapolated that the transformations would enhance the various races best stats, so saiyans get stronger, freezes get faster, buus get tankier, and therefore nameks would get more range and probably a stamina regen buff and humans would get a little better at everything as per their usual jack of all trades niche.

I feel like both are valid. God energy isn't something that can be gained normally and SSJ4 still fits the Saiyan motif as a combination of Oozaru and SSJ.
SSJB has the blue hair and mystical energy because it's not normal, it's spiritual and godly and it fits.
SSJ4 is a savage evolution of Super Saiyan and Oozaru combined to create something completely new.
I feel like every Saiyan Transformation fits and has a place and doesn't necessarily need to be held in any order except SSJ1 and 2 with two being superior. Each one has different strengths and weaknesses.
I like to look at each form as a tool for different jobs.

also try getting a buncha levels through PQ's and focus them somewhere. an all around character doesn't work too well in this game, but one with a buncha points into whatever attacking type you prefer can wipe stuff really good.

The Golden Ape thing was pretty cool and perfectly in line with Vegeta's explanation in the Saiyan Saga. Radiance of over a certain threshold turned saiyans into monkeys, so radiance of a much higher threshold turned them into golden monkeys. Pretty neat.

Otherwise Attack of the Saiyans. Beat up Krillin, Yamcha and Tien, and check the entrance to the temple. If there's a time patroller there, fight him for a chance to get a DB. If he isn't there, reset. If you don't get a key item after you beat it, reset.

The two missions I find best are the one vs Frieza on exploded Namek. You gotta fight him till the Time Patrollers shows up.
You'll know when you have one if it says you gained a key item after the first material item.
The second one best for it is the preparation for the Saiyans one.
Fight Yamcha, Krillin and Tien until a patroller shows up. If one doesnt retry the match.
Defeat the patrollers and if you get a key item finish the quest. If not retry.
Bam, swimming in dragon balls! It takes a few tries though.
