Revelations 1 and 2 were incredibly sub par games, save for the raid modes.
Revelations 2 had quite possibly the worst implementation of co op I've ever seen, not to mention the screen fading to black every fucking time you opened a door.
Both after RE1 and RE4, the two really notable games in the series.

1,2,3 are shit, 4-6 and revelations are actually good, Good gameplay, good chars, good story and dialogue.
123 are just shit in every way possible, it's not even a survival or a horror game but only in name only. B-b-but it has zombies! Get that ass banned

RE1 was great, it was Alone in the Dark but good
RE2 was also great, it was RE1 but with more interesting locales, more variety with the scenarios and Mr. X.
RE3 was amazing, it expanded on the Mr. X mechanic and introduced choices and a crafting system and imo had the best levels.

RE4 was a super influential and well designed TPS. Shooting feels great.
RE5 is where it went wrong.
