I'm thinking of learning GameMaker or RPG Maker and making a hentai game. Like with monster girls and shit like that. It would just be some freeware I'd do just to learn, but if I got serious abut it I think I could put some real time and effort into it. Plus there aren't many legit hentai rpgs, so I think it would be nice to put something out there for people to enjoy. If it's not shit, that is.
But what mechanics would such a game have?
Bounce some ideas off me.

There's a fuck ton of doujin rpg maker games already with dicks and vaginas and all.
If you're going serious better make it etchi instead so you can sell it on steam. Hire someone from a third world country on deviant art to make some hot CG scenes for like $5 each.

Both are easy to learn even without any coding experience.
GameMaker allows for more customization.
If you can do the sprites, cg etc., then you got the hardest part done already. Next is sound and then the game itself.

This would be hilarious as a game with a whole party of barbaric races filling RPG niches with crude solutions. Like a bard that buffs the party through intimidation rather than song or a thief who bullies people out of their stuff.

The most important thing in a hentai game is the ability to get to some fucking right away. Either put cheats in your game or have something unlocked from the start. It's fine to lock some scenes away but if I open your game and there's absolutely nothing I can fap to within 30 seconds I'm closing it and probably never playing again.

Well, you'll have to cater to specific fetishes, because nobody will be interested in another vanilla porn game. So make the setting/game be able to fit multiple fetishes.
Also as >>344621168 said, make some spanking content already available, but make some content reserved for other points in the game.
And if at all possible, make the actual gameplay/story interesting, so we can keep playing after cumming until we get to the new porn material. It's all about proper pacing, OP.
