Other than that the game is fine. Dwarf was fine to use, Wizard felt underpowered but I assume he reaches his zenith near endgame. Kind of wanted to use Elf since muh dick but I hear she's the worst.
Levels are a bit short and there's too much downtime between them but I can appreciate them sticking to the DnD aesthetic. They do a great job of them, from the dungeon master narration to the general plot and pacing.

Don't hold your breath. Odin Sphere was one of Vanillaware's very first titles and we just got the remake of that last month. There's also Muramasa Rebirth but that's a weird instance as that was porting over the only Nintendo exclusive Vanillaware title to a Sony platform, where they have a much more established fanbase. Overall though, from what I understand Kamitani doesn't care much for revisiting titles either. I'd be suprised if this got rereleased anywhere before the 2020's, if even then.

If I had to choose from someone already in the game Id go with either the Dark Elf beast master who would have a bunch of summonable mounts and support abilities, or the Wyvern Knight who would have her own summonable Wyvern mount and would focus on arieal combos.
Working from scratch I think a Buckaneer class wielding a cutlass and pistol would be cool. The pistol would have a long reload time but would do high damage. He could also have an ability to pull out a random type of drink, standing still would consume it like food for a buff, or it could be thrown to inflict an AoE debuff. Different drinks would have different effects and more levels in it would give you more variety and stock.

Paladin Elf
Make it a character similar to Zenyetta from Overwatch. He can fight, but is also support based and can help in healing and protecting his teammates with one of his abilities. He can also cast some sort of light spell that hurts enemies.

Yeah, this is monster girl territory, but I think it'd be a neat addittion. This girl would be able to poison enemies and would be immune to poison. She'd also be able to cure anybody who got poisoned.

I think I liked Elf the best actually. I guess her "gimmick" is that she relies on items to get the job done, so if you run out then you are sorta fucked. That being said, you shouldn't really be running out anyway.
Arrows are strong projectiles and can be found by breaking shit, which you should be doing to find food and coins anyway. Daggers can be found normally, plus Elf can learn a skill that lets her spawn daggers. Couple that with her backstab skill and you can do great damage pretty consistently. Her kicks are good for combos and juggling too.
Personally I feel like the warrior guy is the worst. He doesn't really have a lot going for him, apart from good defence.
