Both meaningless terms that don't convey any useful information about games. Many games within those "genres" don't have anything to do with role playing, which isn't inherently a flaw, the games are just mislabeled and poorly categorized.

I bought those separately after ordering mine since it was cheaper to get them from Rakuten and I already had a FP7 I wanted to upgrade. I'm almost embarrassed to admit how much I spent on this game over the decade.

I got omrons with mine, and got sanwas separately. Cost about the same except I get a spare set of 100g omrons and then you have the original dao buttons to do whatever you want with.
It really is the pinnacle of rhythm games though, it's worth the money.
