Yes, and they fixed the limited weapons issue with the DLC, so it's literally perfect. The no real useful magic thing is fine, and I don't think it really detracts anything from the game, and fits with the theme and mechanics.

I would rather the limited weapons, of which ALL can be used effectively in pvp (except the stake) and pve, then the abundance of shitty weapons, especially the weapons that look cool but are useless, present in the souls games.
My only wish is that from created different themed variants of the weapons that scale better with certain stats.

Pure arcane is probably the best PvE build by far and one of the better PvP builds
Fire sawspear with bolt saw cleaver/saif with 70/99 arc is incredibly good
This is after the dlc but either way, 70+ arc with shit lole blacksky eye, executioner's gloves, and a call from beyond is insanely good and for PvP the Kos parasite is very good
