Yeah, it really felt like many of the new characters stories weren't wrapped up very well. I expected everything to be taken a lot further than it was in the end.

I really liked Sean a lot, it's very rare that a child character is actually good. Also, the returning characters were awful for me, I wasn't that attached to Akane and Junpei to begin with but they were unbearable in this. I loved Sigma in VLR but old Sigma wasn't as fun and he acted stupider too.
And I legit enjoyed the Q reveal even if it was dumb, I thought the game was pulling another K where it's someone else behind the mask depending on the timeline and I remembered the standoff input not reacting to "Sean" after requesting Q's real name, so as soon as saw the twins end, I jumped straight into the standoff timeline to see if my theory was true and had the biggest mind fuck I've had in years. It was the only twist in the game to completely shock me and I relished that feeling.

So I just got the last ending so this is my first time entering a thread since the game released. I just have one question.What the fuck was up with any of this, is there some great twist I missed, do more scenes open up like in VLR, what the hell happened to Kyle and BW, why did every established character have completely different personalities, I kept expecting some twist like Akane was actually Nonna in disguise or Sigma was Kyle trying to imitate and failing but it never came, why was Q team just sort of dropped and never had any real conclusion, how was Delta 124, did he continually use the transporter or is he just semi-immortal like Cure Carriers, what the hell was he trying to accomplish with FTS, who the hell was left, was it supposed to be Sean, if so who killed him, it seems like something too important to just drop.
I had my fun with the game but it reminds me of Remember11, it seemed to end when then budget ran out instead of when the story was finished.
I'm glad it's over.

I think most people did, it was probably a conscious decision not to considering how they stressed the importance of unsuccessful timelines also having their own value. I know it likely results in the nuclear explosion still but surely Delta or someone else could have made another Nonary game earlier to stop the same threat without having things spiral so out of control if he really does consider the snail the start of everything bad. The Mira epilogue brought it up with another open ending, but it felt like an afterthought more than anything.

The macguffin the object of desire in a story. What it is is unimportant but when you look at a lot of stories (particularly mainstream movies) the plot often centers around one or two parties searching for or fighting over an object. The macguffin in STar Wars was RD-D2. For most of the movie we really don't get why he's that important, he could have been a paper map or a hard drive and it wouldn't have mattered at the end of the day he was what both sides wanted.
It can also be characters searching for a macguffin without resistance from another party but just the world in general.

If Kyle's consciousness was trapped in the Quantum Computer, then the only way he could view events would be through the cameras. If Delta knew about Kyle, it would explain why Delta rigged the cameras to not reveal his existence until he was found out as Zero. But yeah, Akane made it sound like Radical-6 happened in all timelines, but that actually makes sense if you consider that she had probably only been exploring timelines that diverged after the Dcom experiment. After all, she knew nothing about what happened there or how Radical-6 got out. From the perspective of someone already in the Radical-6 timeline, every timeline seems to contain Radical-6.
It's the exact same as how in ZTD, once the characters fail the coin flip, some of them are going to die no matter what. No amount of time hopping or SHIFTing lets them find a timeline where everyone makes it out, and as in Akane's case with Radical-6, the solution is to go back to before it even started.

All of his emotional moments actually hit their mark for me, unlike pretty much any other time the game tried to be sad which usually felt forced and awkward. He feels very human and he's sweet and sympathetic while also being kind of an oddball and I think the way amnesia played into his character was actually handled well for once. I liked Carlos because he was entertaining as hell but I liked Sean because I actually cared about him.
