My question is, does this game have priority with ios devices? People are playing on their iphones, keeping it in their pocket and receiving notifications that there's a pokemon nearby, and they're above 60% battery.
Meanwhile I'm on android (sony xperia Z5 which is no slouch), and I was playing pretty heavy for 3 good hours, and I went from 100% to 36%
And unless Im doing something wrong, I get no notifications in my pocket like the app gets disabled when I lock the screen.

The game could be awesome but I hate the constant lockups, crashes, and server issues. The few gyms that don't have 2000+CP pokemon I try to take always end up with that retarded 1hp glitch.
Also battery life is atrocious, you have to leave the game open and it fucking throws a hissy fit whenever it loses GPS. If they used a simple inertial system they could update GPS every 5 minutes and rely on the other phones sensors like the accelerometer.
Been trying to hatch eggs and the game constantly locks up on battery saver, and my battery feels warm as fuck.
If they stabilize the servers, reduce the load on the phone, and make the battle system more indepth it would be the only thing I'd play for the forseeable future.

Thay really sucks.
I've gotten like 6 squirtle, scyther, rydon, dratini, 5 evee, and tons of rattatta, caterpie, weedle, pidgey, spearow, and poliwhirl just by walking around my apartment complex.
I also keep finding ghastly by this abandoned warehouse, but there isn't a graveyard nearby. Kinda scared to look up if some crazy shit went down there at some point.

I live in the east coast woodlands but luckily work on an island that a zillion tourists go to which has spots all over. Then again, my home area isn't all that bad because we have a number of parks around and those are the best places to go in general.

Is the gyro used for any other functionality in game? Should my map show me in which direction to walk?
I don't get why Pokemon randomly pop up beside me, without any prior indication on the map.
