Matpat however does things like claiming the reason team StarFox has robotic legs is to run fast. But all he can really base this off of is that fox can run fast in smashbros and in starfox 64. He completely ignores the other starfox games where fox runs at a normal speed and doesn't even mention them. Likewise he brings up that the thing about pilots missing legs to fly better is a myth, he doesn't address that it's entirely possible the devs didn't know it was a myth while making the game.

Underale is a poor game to give someone who doesn't know much about games. I get the message but giving Undertale to someone fairly fresh to games means losing a fair chunk of the meta references like how Flowey goes "it's not like you could go back and time and fix it" as a hint that you should reload and try again.
Add to that, a new player might just think that you're supposed to fight more than you're supposed to. Like if they don't realize they can flee from Undyne, they might think it's a game forcing you to kill a heroic character.
