Played Xenoverse at release with a mate and really enjoyed the co-op, but stayed clear of vs because it always seemed really fucking laggy.
Now that the game has been out for a while, can any veterans comment on whether the quality of the online play (in terms of latency) has improved? And is there any real depth and strategy to the game now, or is it still hyper-armor/invincibility spam? Tell me the devs have been listening, and patching.

No, it's Golbez. Exdeath is in the game though, and he's pretty great. He was added pre-launch though, so now we won't get a rate-up for him unless he's featured on someone else's banner.
Current banner is Golbez (IV), Kefka (VI), and Chizuru (FFBE original char).
Golbez is at 11.8%.
Kefka is at 10.6%.
Chizuru is at 1.3%.
The difference for Chizuru is that she's only available at 4~5 star, while Golbez and Kefka are 3~5.

Spamming step vanish into strong jump attack, at least with human females, goes into a sort of stunning trap.
You get hit with the strong jump attack, you get stunned, and the opponent take advantage of your stun animation and continue to combo you.
I use it a lot. It works with most characters, especially well with the majin and namekian races.

Just cranked the game up to 4k to drop my frames to 30 and you're right, not only does it make it piss easy to spam Step Vanish, it also makes it piss easy to get Just Guards by just spamming the block button.

If kid buu kept SOMETHING besides the color of the originals, be it clothes or hairstyle or whatever, it would be a lot better a transformation even if literally nothing else changed.
