I did.
I stopped buying Pokemon games after Diamond.
All of Gen IV and V I pirated on a flashcard, and played the superior romhacks that actually make the game challenging.
I didn't even bother to play XY, and I won't be playing Sun/Moon.
Sacred HeartGold, and Blaze Black 2 are the best pokemon will ever get. I'll just play those again.
