How long is the DLC? I can beat the main game in about 12-15 hours and I've been autistically going through the chalice dungeons for around 30 hours now but I would like a bit more variety since the CDs are pretty formulaic.

the best arcane tools and weapons come from the DLC, which is hard as balls.
you could imbue normal weapons with elemental fortifications but you don't get any good ones until late game and/or from chalice dungeons (diablo rifts, a pain to get started without prior knowledge).
t. someone who went pure arcane on his first playthrough (i settled with tonitrus, a lightning mace, and transformed logarius' wheel until i got the kos parasite from the DLC if you still want to go for it)

The main arcane powers come late game. So main a single other stat like strength or skill, and make sure the arcane gets a level up every now and again.
You'll be mainly getting all of the arcane spells and weapons later on so just be moderate with the stat unless you love placing elemental paper on all of your weapons.

If you work with a set that doesn't focus on parrying the guy he will go onto his second stage. His second stage when when self buffed is unstunnable/unparriable and he becomes even more relentless in his attacks towards you which is hell on earth.
