Gameplay was not as fluid as I'd hoped. Parrying is easy as fuck as its all telegraphed and I was playing on the hardest difficulty. Killing enemies give full health and felt ninja gaiden 3 ish.

Trust me, Revengance mode gets fucking brutal later on, and you actually need to strategize and should just mash buttons.
Also, the cheesiness adds to the charm. By the second level, you can tell that the game's not trying to be serious at all.

No, Peace Walker is shit. Absolutely blind guards, the most simplistic level design in the series, easy mode bullet sponge bosses with limitless ammo drops, that horrible fucking Snake voice. It only appeals to people who get some autistic joy out of mindlessly expanding their base by kidnapping every soldier they see. If you HAVEN'T got autism, that gets old very fast.

No it isn't. 4 is a fun game when it's actually a game, which is still a solid five or six hours if not a little more. The story might be fucking stupid but it still has some cool moments. PW just has nothing at all going for it.

My complaint isn't that it took too long, it's that the whole battle is just chucking bullets and rockets at a boss. Five minutes of near continuous fire is still a bullet sponge.
