Say what you want but Borderlands is top tier fun. And I have only played it solo, I imagine it's even more fun with others.

Which one did you play? I found the first game fun, but BL2 turned into a huge chore by level 30, and everything in the second run was an actual bullet sponge, and dealt so much damage that I just ended up abusing the health exploit instead of bothering with armor. People say Pre-Sequel is even worse at that.

I have played all of them, the Pre-sequel was boring I'll admit, I didn't finish it. But mainly I think it was because I had already burned out with 2, which I greatly enjoyed.
