It's a prebuilt from back then with new GPU, CPU cooler, power supply and motherboard.
Absolutely nothing special but decent enough for my needs.

I don't even know what I bought there, I knew the GPU is supposed to be good for a mid range build.
I bought the motherboard only because it said something about new BIOS and that's what I needed for the GPU.
Plus that thing looks like cool gaymergear and has some cool, edgy gaymerguys name with 13375p34K on it, so how could it not be the best thing available?

PC running a bit hot since it's 30 degrees outside, but yeah, I'm satisfied with my new PC. Just built it last month and got the GPU yesterday, I've been waiting for 3 weeks for it as they are sold out everywhere (at least where they have them for normal price).
>>

Reminds me of the time where I was stuck with some 1995 era PC.
6GB hard drive, could get 1-2 games and the usual programs on it and that was it.
Usually had Diablo 2 (which was a stuttery mess in Nightmare/Hell difficulty) and AoE2 installed.

Depending on what games you play the 750(non Ti?) should be enough.
Especially since most popular games today are shitty MOBA games.
>>
>>344402932
760. I got it from a coworker for like 50 bucks a while back. had a 5850 before.

I've mainly been playing the mass effect series and overwatch lately. I emulate alot other than that. I'd like to be able to run the new Mass Effect game well when its out but no idea how demanding thats gonna be.
>>
>>344403104
>760
I'm blind and too tired.
Yeah I run two 760 in my old computer that is under water.
Emulating is more CPU bound and the 4690K have very good IPC so I don't see a reason to buy a new GPU until the Ti models comes out for the GTX1000 cards.

Andromeda will be very demanding I guess. Firstly, it uses Frostbite, and secondly, Bioware can't into optimization.

I'm this guy >>344402301
I just got 1070 yesterday and I'm really happy with it. Can run Overwatch with 120 frames on epic settings with downsampling. Doom also runs at about 120-140 frames on ultra. I even tried installing AC Unity to see if I can force run it (since it has shit optimization) and yeah, it is smooth on 60 frames on highest settings.
>>
>>344403280
My ignorance is showing, but I didn't think you could have two different gpus in the same system? what do you do with them?
>>
>>344403316
Sounds like a good idea.
I have enough to build a second two CPU build but I don't see a reason to upgrade because 1070/1080 doesn't work well with Vive which I'm probably gonna get later if price goes down or second gen comes out and by the time the old 1080/1070 will have upgraded versions.

The waiting game works if you have a certain goal, not so much if you wait for AMD though.

One for CUDA, one for dunno.
If it was Windows 10 I'd understand it since that is a thing soon to work with different cards, but now I think he's either using it for CUDA or something.

Waiting on gtx 1060, or might get a 480x. Only thing i worry about is pcie 2.0 because of my 2nd gen i5. Not sure if it will bottleneck or still run alright.
>>
>>344403406
You can, they just cant really do anything with each other except pass completed frames between them for display.

In my rig, the GTX 660 is the GPU for the main 1080p screen, while the GT 440 1.5GB drives the 1280x1024 screen. Other than driving the secondary screen, some physx (BL2) work, and during the winter some distributed computing, it idles.
I got it because A: I wanted an OEM card for the novelty, and B: the previous card, a GT430, decided to go up in flames.

>bottleneck meme
With a good oc and some decent ram, a 2500k will perform on the level of a 6500.

You're absolutely fine. Unless you have a 1080, or are playing Tomb Raider at 4k , your CPU will not bottleneck your card.

A newer CPU will increase FPS, but that's due to it being more efficient at CPU dependent processes, not it failing to keep up with the GPU.

It and the clock-speed are set to adaptive/auto, the mb handles it and the vcore never goes above 1.3. When the cpu isn't under load and when it's not so damn hot, I get temps under 20.

>listed speed is halved in speccy.
How is this obvious?
>>
>>344406770
Because it's called DDR3?

What do you think the DDR stands for.

Plus, I'd assume that anyone who built their PC would know that you can't buy 1500mhz DDR4.
>>
Goddamn did all of you fuckers get the Skylake i7?

It literally gives you like 1.6 average fps over a 6600k.
>>
>>344406591
what about lets say normal settings
>>
>>344407102
Not really, while an i5 is good enough an i7 will net you a more stable framerate with higher minimums.
Fallout 4 is a case in point - with my 4670k I was frequently hitting 90%+ utilization over all cores resulting in stutters. Same goes for GTA V.
>>
>>344406921
>Plus, I'd assume that anyone who built their PC would know that you can't buy 1500mhz DDR4.

What are you babbling about? 3k isn't the only frequency on DDR4 modules, nor is it the SPD-value for my sticks. I'm talking about speccy halving the actual values.
>>
>>344407296
>3k isn't the only frequency on DDR4 modules,
No shit.

But there isn't anything available at that speed. Use your brain.

>I'm talking about speccy halving the actual values.

I have the ability to use my brain and detect subtle context clues like every listed ram speed being suspiciously half of commercially available ram speed.
>>
>>344407425
>But there isn't anything available at that speed.
To clarify, I'm talking about 1500mhz.
>>
>>344406453

When most of the movie post production is done in HD or 2048x1080 format, playing videogames in bit higher than HD doesn't really matter. HD resolution has enough fidelity until the videogames itself are starting to make better assets.

You are falling for marketer's memes, they want you to spend more money for '4k' monitors and shit like that.

But anyway the screen I have is shit and I will buy better one in the future.

Why?
>>
>>344430124
Because I play mp a lot with a friend who plays most games on ps4 so we gameshare and pay half for games. I reserve the pc for games only I am interested in.

Been upgrading this desktop over the course of several years.

Found the laptop for like $700, a steal compared to how much it's actually worth.

Waiting on either a 480 or 1060 to replace my old GPU. Just bought a better PSU and a 240gb SSD.

I feel like I should upgrade soon but there's nothing graphically intensive that I'm interested in. It's mostly VNs and emulators I play.

When I get a DVI or DP cable, I'll swap out the shitty VGA-only LCD for a Dell P2311H I got for free
