Wireless or wired headset?
>>
>>344386112
This headset is on my head right now. I picked it up on sale a year ago and have been very satisfied. It's a little big though, slides off my head if I look straight up and move around.
>>
>>344386112
wireless. talk to your friends while on the toilet!
>>
>>344386112
As long as you aren't getting a 'gaming' headset, you will be fine more or less.

ATH-WS99BT
Sennheiser Momentum 2 wireless
Sennheiser Urbanite bluetooth
Plantronics BackBeat PRO
Parrot Zik 3.0
Bang & Olufson BeoPlay H7

I cannot believe that there's people who would seriously recommend Logitech's offerings.

Wireless if you need mobility or you want less wires on your shit BUT they need their own battery charge and often they have a problem with audio sync

Wired have better audio quality but you are conjoined with your device

Just chose depending in what you need or want

I listen to a lot of music so I use wired, i m also a lazyass so yeah

Why not use one of those Bluetooth DAC/amp with aptX support? You can still make your wired headphones detached from your source that way if you need to.

Do not buy headphones/headsets that have "gaming" in it.

Dimitri, you know that HD800's trible has this spike that's really fatiguing for some people right?

Good Headphones + Good desktop mic (or $6 lapel mic if poor or live in a goddamn loud ass jungle). A few of my friends use expensive ass headsets and the voice quality is really awful for what they are paying, and I imagine it similarly under performs in audio quality.

I have the g430 for almost a year now, and I kinda like it, would recommend too.

>audiophile jargon

You people are the fucking worst, like, I'd gladly spend an afternoon with a vegan, atheist who does crossfit than sit through one 12 minute video of audiophile nonsense. Forgive me for not giving two shits whether or not my headphones have 'warm base' or 'full body mid range'. Like any sane person cares about that absurd trash.

You won't like it once the plastic cracks
>>
>>344388260
This. So much more happy with my Cloud 2s now. They even survived a rough trip across the country.

Tbh I'm never buying any 'gaming headset' that looks like generic plastic shit again
>>
>>344388941
I got V-moda's headphones because the headbands are made of steel instead of flimsy plastic for the same reason. I am not destructive with my stuff, but the problem is that the swivel cups crack and I've had it with how that molded parts can't simply be glued together.

I like my DT 990's
I had a gaming headset a long time ago, but after getting a decent pair of headphones I don't think I could ever settle for less

also have this headset 1+yr now.

plastic has never cracked. The padding has not deflated in any way. It's super fucking comfy for something to wear >10hrs a day.

wire is super long but comes with a velcro tie so you can effectively control length. Sound/Mic quality are acceptable.
>>
I have a pair of Hesh 2.0s from Skullcandy
They're good
>>
>>344389447
I had the same headset for at least a year. The piece of plastic above the swivel completely cracked, eventually to the point of dangling by a wire. The sound/mic quality was also noticeably worse than my current ones.

After getting some headphones with good build quality, I just can't go back to the all-plastic gaming headsets.

ahhaha these fucking sperglord 15 year olds literally can't hear 90% of the synthetic/instrumental sounds of any decent track using their shitty 3dollar production value "gaymur" trash.

>DACs are memes and a waste of money
Not really. You ever plugged you're headset into Dualshock 4 and Xbox one controller?
>>
>>344386112

Wired are best, not even a doubt.

HOWEVER, there is something to be said about the freedom, ease and comfortability of being wireless. If you don't care so much about the quality of the headset and just use them for privacy, a means to talk to others and of that ilk, then wireless for sure.

If you like crisp rich sounds, that let you hear foot steps of enemies and back ground noises in games, then a top grade wired one is what you want.
>>
Wired. Also I never liked the whole mic+headset combo shit. After a while one or both components act up.

HD555 (now 558s iirc) and desktop mic have been good for years of pc gaming.

I have a G930, but it is a piece of shit. I had the wired version of it years ago, and it worked great, but then it got broken (my fault).

The G930 went on a deep sale, and as my friend had one and had good experiences with it (until it had gotten broken as well), so we bought new ones along with another friend.

We've all had trouble with them. They have trouble connecting initially, they like to turn off sporadically and sometimes they cut out. These are all apparently common issues with them now, which had not affected my friend's old G930.

I recently got a G430, as pictured in the OP, and that has been working great for me. I do find Logitech headsets to be comfortable.

Seriously though, you should throw earbuds away and get something that sounds better.

Mine used to really dig into my head and would make my scalp numb. It was the very narrow blue thing of foam on the top. I had to stop wearing it in the end because it made the hair under it grow in white. Ultimately I taped a block of foam over the headband which made it better.

> Shitting on Logitech headsets
I agree that the rest of their products is more or mess garbage, but holy shit did I make good use of my money by buying a G930.
It's been 5 fucking years of intensive, daily use, and it still works like a charm, even when in wireless mode.
Sure, I have a friend who will tell you they're shit, but he's the kind of sperglord litterally kicking in his computer when he gets killes in a game.
I don't buy headsets to throw them on the wall.
>>
>>344386475
I have the G230 and it does the same thing, fucking nice headset otherwise though.
