Video Game stories are definitely the worst kind of stories in any entertainment medium. RPGs are the worst genre because of this. They shit on gameplay by reducing it to rock-paper-scissors, and instead you are treated to a stupid ass story that seems like it was written by a child.
I've always stood by the idea that if you want a story, watch a movie or read a book. If you want to play a video game, go play Contra or Gradius or something that takes some fucking skill.
