It's another cyberpunk/sci-fi RPG in the same universe as Mars: War Logs. The studio behind both games is known for rough finishes on their games.
I love the story. Basically Mars gets colonized & eventually loses contact with Earth due to the planet tilting on its axis.
The result is various corporations control the water supplies & thus the population of the planet.
It's sorta a mesh of post apoc, cyberpunk, sci-fi & fantasy. Gameplay is fun, despite a lot of the bitching. It's very unforgiving(not a button-mashing combat system).
That being said, it's very, very rough. I've found clipping issues, rendering problems & terrible voice acting. Still, I love it as much as Mars: War Logs.
If you're gonna get it, wait until it drops to like $10.

That's the thing. I like old school FPS games, it just isn't one or in spirit of one. I can't remember from the top of my mind any FPS that has less enemy variety than this one, or any FPS that's got every enemy as a bullet sponge.
Two weapons (ten with shared ammo between each five) is also not very smart.
Checkpoint system in an "old school shooter" is pants on head retarded.
Arena level design (when you constantly get locked up and have to fight hordes of enemies in a relatively tight space) is not old school btw, at least not in such amount.
Speaking of arenas, Painkiller by these guys was a better "old-school FPS" than HR or new SW. But hey, at least it looks pretty and it says "inspired by old school" in the description.

I liked the weapon system, and it was designed so you hot-swap modes quickly while in a fight to handle the mobs.
