Her cast time is 2.5s but her recast time is 3s so she doesn't heal faster than Regen. Fairy heal potency is also weaker than player heal potency, so even though Embrace says 300 potency it's actually closer to 200 potency from a player (half a Cure/Physick/Benific) and only 33% stronger than a Regen tick.

SCHfaggots love stroking their own egos but the only two classes in this game that can solo anything are SCH and WAR because they're hilariously OP.
WHM can't solo anything in this class because it has the weakest MP management out of all three healers and goes OOM if you start DPSing. Stone III costs a shit ton of MP and if you start spamming it like you should for maximum DPS potential it kills your MP reserves.
SCH can solo because it has amazing MP regen and a fairy to heal you every 2s. It's DPS tools aren't that MP heavy and it has the most sustainable DPS.
WAR can also solo things because of its regen tools and because it has great defensive cooldowns and an offensive toolkit.
Don't meme about shit you don't know. There's a reason why SCH and WAR have solo'd most old EX content and no other class has.

BRD is more about keeping up dots and doing sustained damage, MCH is about burst and cooldown alignment. They both play similarly, but with BRD you have to know your dot timer and with MCH you have to watch RNG procs on your main combo.

SCH in THEORY has the worst DPS POTENTIAL, yes, Stone, Sky, Sea tells us that.
The POTENTIAL for DPS is WHM > AST > SCH.
However, in PRACTICE (i.e. real life situations and play) SCH will always come out on top of WHM because WHM can't keep up its DPS.
It doesn't matter if WHM can burst 1000 DPS at the beginning while SCH can only do 900; what matters is that SCH can continually do 900 DPS all fight long while WHM drops off incredibly quickly because it can't sustain it.
If they made WHMs MP regen not suck shit, then yeah, WHM would be DPSing a lot more in raid content.
And what "solo shit" are you talking about? 99% of this game is group content. Even if there was "solo content" to speak of, SCH would still come on top because it can maintain its DPS.
The ONLY time WHM jumps ahead of SCH in terms of DPS is when it comes to AoE DPS in dungeons, because SCH takes fucking forever to set up its AoE damage where as a WHM you can shit out Aero III/Assize/Holy in an instant and kill everything.
WHM has the best burst DPS but it doesn't matter because overall WHM has awful MP sustain.

I dont raid or anything yet since im lvl 53, but I would say Balmung if you are gonna pay for the transfer, plenty of people there, Gilgamesh feels kinda of dead to me, I played for an entire month there and I never talked with anyone there even when I tried to start a conversation. The game in general still feels like a solo mmo though, but at least people are friendly here, I dont RP or ERP btw.

I loved this game so much until around December when it became clear that it would always erase everything and make old content 99% useless.
Taken down to 2 dungeons to spam, craftable gear still mostly worthless, relic-type weapons getting a reset (oh excuse me you can skip ONE STAGE at next expansions), and content that is either balls hard or insultingly drooling easy, never in between.
I am pretty much waiting for the next expansion so I can just enjoy playing through that and doing a little content again, until then FFXI is keeping me far more entertained. Does anyone know if there have been hints for the next expansion after heavensward yet? I'd love to hear if so.

It's gotten better. The jump from 60 2* to 3* is a tiny increment compared to 50 2* to 3*. The main materials for everything can be bought from an NPC for 20 esoterics, 50 for HQ items.
At this point red scripts are only for buying materia or upgrading your i180 tool if you're too poor to afford getting an i195 ironworks too made.

MCH is kinda weird. They are completely at the mercy of Wildfire (a 90 second cooldown) and Reload (a 60 second cooldown). After your initial burst (which might be the strongest in the game), those two won't line up again until your 3rd cooldown rotation. You want to use BfB after HT and Life Surge before Full Thrust. Everything else can be throne in between GCDs.

Leveling content you can do entirely solo but not end game things. What this game lacks is open world dungeons or end game zones you could solo through or go with a party (without the DF of course) just like in FFXI. At least Deep Dungeons seems like this type of content for both leveling and end game.

From my experience though, I haven't met anybody playing FFXIV that's past 30 at all. I think it's safe to say that the old generation of MMO players has declined now.
I know some of them enjoyed old MMOs like FFXI since they've reached that generation at some point. It didn't respect people's time (long grinds, expensive and ridiculous RNG) but it did give people a sense of achievement and what weapon/gear they worked hard for lasted years as a viable weapon unlike now, we're in this endless gear treadmill where everything doesn't last 3-6 months.
