Story aside, whats wrong with the gameplay?
Played BS1 and BS2, Infinite is a lot better than both where combat is concerned.
So why is this game so despised by /v/.

It is your run of the mill FPS.
It takes the previous games systems and limits them.
All of your powers were traps which were pointless in a open aired environment
Every map was just you walking through corridors to the next arena.
No mini games or exploration to be seen.
Perks were random.
5 grenades.
none of the powers were used for anything other than combat
Everyone was sponges.
Liz gives you all your ammo and heath.
2 weapon limit made you switch weapons constantly on higher difficulties
enemies were all the fucking same besides like 2-3 people which rarely showed up.
Game hypes up the bird fight and it amounts to nothing.
In the previous games traps made sense. Everything was enclosed. they were effective.
In Infinite everyone is jumping around like morons on the rails that run in circles.
Gameplay was just bad.

The shooting is actually below average. It tries to get by with its setting/story (granted they are very good) but if you are actually into FPS the combat is just so lackluster. Luckily it is broken up enough with interesting story and memorable set-pieces.

Additionally to this, the story was garbage, entry-level tier "ohhh mysterious time line" shit that relied on people thinking it was too complicated because
"muh quantum mechanics" to actually look and notice how shallow it was.

Super Holy Fuck!
I thought it was ok but the last half or so of the game got insanely fucking tedious. I finished it in one sitting for whatever reason only took like 9 hours.
