I own the base game and undead nightmare on both, I think the performance difference between the two was not as significant as you're making it out to be. The 360 version chugged just as hard in thieves landing and blackwater. The PS3 version never disabled vert sync either. What was the most noticeable though was how much better vegetation density was on 360 and how much sharper the native 720p with 2xMSAA was over 640p with quinunx anti-aliasing.
