There's like a ten year gap, it's not fair to compare them. Mostly it's just sad that the tickrate is so low for Overwatch. TF2's default tickrate has always been a bit fucky but custom servers have always used 60+. You'd think with such a HUGE GAP BETWEEN DEVELOPMENT they'd have VASTLY SUPERIOR TECHNOLOGY. As it turns out, no.
By all rights Overwatch should be a vastly superior game, at least from a technical perspective. The fact that it fails this is the most damning point against it.
