Doesn't matter. His combo don't scale and with 1 meter burn he can do 50% combo out of a jab, meter carries over from round to round. DP is invisible, so you don't need to think about pressure, +frames become a coin toss vs Akuma and with meter he can 50% juggle you for acting on your frame advantage. DP even beats Rage Arts, not Focused DP, just DP with no meter.
If you're aggressive and keep your opponent guessing you don't need to think about defence, all offence is a coinflip for your opponents, bulldogs are fucked, so Tekken has counterpicks for the first time in history. He's also buggy as fuck, leading to some weird shit.
Murrey already said they won't patch him. Knee switched to Akuma, most players who doubledip, like Poongko and Kazunoko(played Feng), Tokido picked up\ switched to Akuma. Nobi is practising Akuma. I won't be surprised if Evo TOP8 will have at least 6 Akumas. I mean 2011 EVO had 4 Bobs in TOP8 and he wasn't as strong.

They "patched" Shaheen several times in T7, it didn't change a thing. They will use handsoff approach, especially for someone like Akuma.

Well, it will make Tekken @ EVo into a mirror hell. Tekken fans will be bored, but as long as SF fans are happy, it's all OK.
And if EVO(Confirmed by Murrey, no patches for EVO) and MasterCup will be played with this version there is no reason to patch it later. Tekken usually gets 2 oe 3 updates 1st month and then there's nothing. Tekken 7 got Jack update 1 or 2 weeks after Jack got released,but when they stopped unveiling characters patches stopped as well.
