Zoroark is unironically probably my favorite Pokemon.
Through communication humans hurt each other. We wound each other and destroy each other, eroding our selves to reduce the pain we receive with each contact.
By simply living as tools that obey human will Pokemon do not suffer. Better to lose one's individuality and free thought and simply become an extension of a greater being than live on your own

They do in side media thought non-direct methods.
In the games, they don't because there isn't really a good practical gameplay application, and it would be far too hard and time consuming to implement something like that for the sake of itself without it being as utterly shallow as Animal Crossing.
They did want to have something where you could converse with Pokemon in XY though, and there's the Rotomdex, so maybe it'll be a thing in SM.
