Can Yoshi jump higher than mario?

I think Yoshi's Double Jump from Sunshine went higher than any of Mario's Triple Jumps have, so I guess he could (I could be wrong, though). Flutter Jump puts him above Mario's regular jumps in any case,

I wonder what Yoshi's shoes smell like mmm. haha. does anyone else wonder what Yoshi's shoes smell like? I'm just curious is all haha.
