Hanzo deals great mid/long-range damage, while still not being totally helpless at close range. His shatter arrow deals surprising damage, his sonic arrow provides an amazing service to the team, and he can shit out dragons every 30 seconds if he's good.
I concede that 90% of Hanzos are shitters, especially those who pick him on offense, but a good one can shut down the entire game by himself if he's positioned well.

From my experience the average ranked game has at least 2-3 people per team with microphones, and everyone is really trying to win. And in the average quick play game I almost NEVER hear voices, and when I do it's just one guy doing a callout and never saying anything else again.

Snipers are easily the biggest cancer in any sort of shooter.

Maybe you misread, support, doesn't mean barely kill a mercy and run.
I kill the mercy, shave their tank's health, kill one or two others. Then I run in to the team, drop a heal and then do another loop. Rinse and repeat. I let the team kill whatever is left.
It's not about just killing whatever I can it's keeping their team separated. One follows me, or better, more because they're pissed at me keeps them from grouping up.
Then just pick them off one by one. It's extremely effective.

reaper or soldier are both pretty easy to pick up, soldier is generally more useful and well rounded with his consistent hitscan dps and reliable mobility but reaper can be really lethal for really low effort,hes more about decision making and map knowledge rather than twitch skills. Pharah can be difficult to learn due to the rockets being projectiles but rockets are also insanely forgiving way of outputting dps if you learn its speed. Just don't pick tracer or genji, their play style is insanely prediction heavy and high execution and they are 100% useless unless the user is good or has good team coordination
